The only soccer franchise on Long Island, the Rough Riders is one of the oldest franchises in all of North America. Members of the Premier Development League of the United Soccer Leagues, the Rough Riders team showcase talented collegiate and professional players from across the nation. But that's not all. The Rough Riders franchise also supports a female ream as well as junior development teams. Rough Riders men's team

The Long Island Rough Riders became a part of the United Soccer League back in 1994. They quickly went on to win their first USISL National Championship in 1995. This winning team featured future US National Team members Chris Armas and Tony Meola. Since then, the team has gone on to win the United Soccer League 2nd Division National Championship, as well as send dozens of players to the Major Soccer League. Rough Riders women's team

In 2007, the Rough Riders soccer club reacquired a W-League franchise from the United Soccer League. Formerly the Lady Riders, this new team features some of the finest female athletes in the nation. The W-League is currently the only league for women's soccer in the United States and thus features many National Team members and World Cup participants. Customers of Action Manhattan Rent A Car can catch both the men's and women's Rough Rider teams in action at Michael J. Tully Park in New Hyde Park. The teams usually enjoy double header matchups.

Jr Rough Riders

Want to improve your soccer skills? Then check out the Junior Rough Riders youth soccer club. Affiliated with the Rough Riders Men's and Women's franchises, the Junior Rough Riders is a year-round youth soccer school and club. Individuals who are chosen to become a part of the Junior Rough Riders often exhibit immense natural talent as well as dedication and perseverance. Players are developed in three separate Rough Rider schools: the Junior Rough Rider Academy, the Long Island/New York Rough Riders, and the Rough Riders Development Program. Watch the stars practise at Mitchel Field

All of the Rough Riders' teams, including the men's amateur/professional team, practise inside the Rough Riders Training Center at Mitchel Field. This indoor soccer facility boasts over 28,000 square feet of practise space, and is used for a variety of tournaments and events.
