Hofstra University is a private coeducational a private institution of higher education known for its Liberal Arts programs and Journalism. Become an unofficial Flying Dutchman

The mascot is a pair of lions (one male and one female since 1987), sometimes called Kate and Willy, are dressed in blue and gold. The school has men’s baseball, cross country, football, lacrosse, tennis, golf, wrestling, basketball, and soccer.
