Climb to the top of the mount

The mountain at the Catamount Ski Area has a vertical descent of more than 1000'. The longest run on the mountain is Ridge Run to Upper and Lower Promenade. It is 2.5 miles long and is the longest run in all of the Berkshires. Hybrid car hire travelers can take advantage of six lifts up the mountain, including one quad chairlift, one triple chair lift and two double chairlifts. A Wonder Carpet and handle tow are also available for first-timers over in the beginner area. You don't have to be a seasoned carver to enjoy all of winter's wonders at Catamount. Find the area that's right for you

Hybrid car hire travelers will find a diverse array of trails at Catamount, including more than 30 beginner, amateur and expert routes. Located in front of the Base Lodge, the Snowsports Learning Area is a gentle slope designed to help beginner's master basic skiing skills. From there, most travelers will advance to The Meadows, a six-trail complex with gentle, natural terrain contours. Trails include pretty runs through the woods, to long wide open slopes. Looking for something a little more challenging? Then head to Ridge Run and try your hand at the Berkshires' longest ski run. The Sidewinder is another popular difficult run as well. Finally, expert skiers will find quite the challenge on Catamounts diamond courses - Alley Cat, Upper and Lower Glade and the moguled Off Stage. Heck, there's even a signature double-diamond trail called the Catapult. Whatever your skill level, you'll be more than comfortable riding the trails at Catamount.

Hours of operation

Please note that all hours of operation are subject to change due to weather and snow conditions. The regularly scheduled hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm during the Spring and Summer. Winter hours are greatly extended, especially during the winter Christmas break. Night skiing is one of the many special opportunities made possible by the Catamount Ski Area facility. Hybrid car hire travelers can take advantage of night skiing Wednesdays through Saturday beginning at 3pm.

Tickets and passes
