Car Rental Nassau County and the Long Island Summer Festival
The Long Island Summer Festival runs from June to September. It is put on by Friends of the Arts (FOTA) for you to enjoy when you visit with your car rental Nassau County. They are dedicated to presenting artistic programs for the education, enrichment, and enjoyment of the Long Island community.
Groove to the beat
For more than 30 years, Friends of the Arts has brought performing arts to Long Island and this summer is no different. There are concerts at some of the best venues on Long Island. The Long Island Summer Festival, Long Island Jazz Festival, and Beethoven Festival have all become highlights of the Long Island summer concert series. Families can share in the excitement when you visit with your car rental Nassau County because of the Kids Go Free program.
Spend the evening under the stars
The Long Island Summer Festival is a great place to visit with your car rental Nassau County. The evening summer concert series takes place at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park, a 409-acre Gold Coast estate. While you are here you can enjoy the music and the gardens before the show. Some of the performers for 2008 include Kenny G, Rick Springfield, and John Hiatt and the Ageless Beauties. Ticket prices vary based on the show. The Long Island Summer Festival runs from June to September.
Can't get enough?
Friends of the Arts also puts on the Long Island Jazz Festival in August. This is a weekend of performances by jazz greats, including Dave Koz, Lizz Wright, Boney James, and Jonathan Butler. In the fall, winter, and spring, Friends of the Arts moves the music inside and presents chamber concerts at Coe Hall, a Tudor-style manor at Planting Fields Arboretum. You will want to book in advance if you plan on attending with your car rental Nassau County because space is limited.
Bring the kids
A popular program for the Long Island Summer Festival is the "Kids Go Free" program. It is sponsored by Bethpage Federal Credit Union and all kids under the age of 12 are allowed into the show on the lawn section when accompanied by an adult. As part of the program there is also a Fun Tent with craft activities before the show on the lawn, across from the FOTA information table.
