New York City Car Rental and Avenue Q on Broadway

Avenue Q is a well-known Broadway play that you can see while you are in New York City with your car rental. Avenue Q follows the story of a Princeton graduate who comes to New York to pursue big dreams, but only has a small bank account. The only neighborhood he can afford to live in is Avenue Q, which is a fictional street known to be "somewhere out in Queens or Brooklyn". It is a play on the well-known areas such as Avenue A, which now makes up part of the East Village. The area is supposed to represent an area where recent graduates can actually afford the rent. Even though this is not the best neighborhood in the area, the neighbors are nice and provide a lot of entertainment.

Avenue Q opened off-Broadway in 2003 where it got such good reviews and turnouts that it was extended four times. It now plays at the John Golden Theater on Broadway, where it has been since July 2003 and where you can catch it with your New York City car rental.

Avenue Q plays Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8:00 p.m.; Sunday at 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. There is a daily lottery for 12 front row tickets. The tickets are only $21.25 per ticket for the front row. All you have to do is print your name and the number of tickets you want (up to 2) on a card. The tickets are chosen 2 hours before the show begins. If your name is chosen, you can purchase those tickets at the box office with proper identification. However, you must be present at the time of the drawing or else your name will be disqualified.
